Booking the transfer from Schoenefeld Airport (Berlin)
One of the two international airports in Berlin is Schoenefeld Airport. Its location is rather convenient: in Dahme-Spreewald, in the Brandenburg federal state, in 22 kilometers to the south-east from the center of the city. As the distance is rather big, it will be nice to reserve (book) the airport transfer to the needed place from us.
Airport capacity is 7 million passengers per year, so today it is an extremely important transportation hub. However, over time it is planned that "Schoenefeld" will be demolished, and replaced it with a new, large and modern international airport "Berlin-Brandenburg", on the construction of which, Germany will have to spend three billion euros. So now investors do not put their money in Schoenefeld. No one upgrades it and makes major repairs.
More than fifty airlines use services of the Schoenefeld Airport. Low cost airlines, for example EasyJet and Germanwings have there their permanent missions. If you come to Germany through this airport, it might be very convenient to book the airport transfer from us to any spot needed in advance. Much of your time and nerves will be saved this way.
Schoenefeld Airport has four terminals: A, B, C and D. There placed cafes and restaurants, a bank, Duty Free shops, post office, common lounges and VIP rooms, a pharmacy, souvenir shops and travel agencies. Information desk is situated in Terminal A.
The largest Terminal of this airport is A and it is used by EasyJet for flights to the UK, France and Switzerland. The continuation of the terminal A is Terminal B, and hence provides the remaining EasyJet flights. Airport terminal C was built to accept flights from Israel, but in 2008 was reformatted and is now used for sightseeing flights. Terminal D is used airline Condor, Germanwings, Aer Lingus, El Al, and others.
Not far away from the airport there are three hotels. To book a room at one of them, you can call the airport. Near the information counters an electronic scoreboard is installed. It constantly displays information about the availability of seats at these hotels and room prices. If you you already know where to go from the airport, you may reserve (book) the transfer from us.
In the past, Schoenefeld was the main civil airport in East Germany and the only airport of East Berlin. In 90-ies, the airport has faced falling passenger figures. It happened because of the shift of many airlines in the more modern and well situated Tegel Airport. In the last decade of the last century Schoenefeld had taken mainly charter flights. Since 2003, the airport is being used mostly by low-budget airlines such as EasyJet. In 2008, Schoenefeld served almost seven million passengers. If in your plans there is becoming one of the passengers who use Schoenefeld Airport, you are welcome to book (reserve) the transfer from or to this airport from our company.
