Charles de Gaulle Airport (unofficially named Roissy) is the main French airport. Its density of passenger traffic per day is seventh in the world. The airport is situated in 25 kilometers from Paris in the Ile-de-France administrative region. Although the chance to use the RER (B line), getting to the capital from it sometimes is not convenient. Besides usual disadvantages of public ground transportation, from airport you can go whether to centre or to the Nord railway station, so if you are going to reach, for example, any other railway station — Est, Saint-Lazare, Lyon, Montparnasse, Austerlitz, etc — booking airport transfers is quite useful thing to do.

It means that probably it would be interesting to visit this airport just as a place of interest.
