Transfer from Beauvais-Tille Airport at good price
Beauvais-Tille Airport is situated in the north part of France, on the outskirts of Beauvais city. The city is famous for its medieval gothic cathedral (which was considered by its builders to be the biggest in Europe, but wasn’t finished) and Beauvais tapestry (local tapestry manufacture remained private enterprise, while the mast famous in France Gobelins manufacture has made tapestries for the king residences. The airdrome was built there in the thirties of previous century. During the Second World War it was used by Luftwaffe, after the war it became the NATO base. In the 1953 airdrome was transferred to the private ownership and, finally, in the 1956 it was opened as the civilian airport.
Despite the fact that there is a great distance between the airport and Paris (about 70 km from its center, while it is 15 km from Orly and 25 km from Charles de Gaulle), Beauvais-Tillé is also unofficially known as Paris-Beauvais due to advertising of some low-cost air companies. Because of such great distance from the French capital booking airport transfer is necessary for the comfortable trip to Paris.
City near the airport also has some rail facilities. The Beauvais train station is located in about 4 km away from the airport. You can reach Paris Nord from it which is not really convenient sometimes, if you need to get to any other destination, choosing from a variety of Paris railway stations — Austerlitz, Saint-Lazare, Lyon, Montparnasse, etc. So it is probably would be better to use ground transportation, think about the opportunity to book a transfer.
