There is no direct road links between Manhattan and Staten Island except the Staten Island Ferry. If you still want to go there by car, you should use the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. The approximate distance is 37 km; travel time – 45 min.
On the Manhattans territory are located two major railway stations.
Grand Central Terminal Station serves the routes only in the New York State and the State Connecticut, though it the largest railway station by the number of platforms. Pennsylvania Station serves the intercity routes mostly, so here is the highest passenger traffic in the US.
Manhattan Cruise Terminal attracts a lot of tourists serving the intercontinental recreational cruises. If you arrive at one of the New York airports (John F. Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia Airport or Newark Liberty International Airport) to continue the journey on the cruise ship, the better way is to take a transfer. The nearest airport is LaGuardia Airport – about 16 km. The distance from Newark Liberty International Airport is about 25 km, from John F. Kennedy Airport – about 35 km.
